Leaves in the Minnesota Northwoods are beginning to change, and the beautiful fall colors are starting to show! But where in the Northwoods is the best place to see them?

Lake Bemidji State Park is centrally located in the Northwoods, and it has 11 miles of trails to help you immerse yourself in the fall colors, including the 1.25 mile long Bog Walk! Aside from the trails, this state park offers boat access to Lake Bemidji itself, allowing you to see the leaves from the calm waters on a cool fall afternoon.

Itasca State Park is in a more secluded area of the region. It is home to the Mississippi Headwaters and offers 49 miles of trails to take you to some of the most beautiful parts of the park.

Looking over to the eastern part of the area, the Chippewa National Forest offers 26 trails totally nearly 300 miles! They are perfect for hiking or biking.

The Minnesota Northwoods is full of fall beauty. Find a resort in the center of it all! Each resort offers various amenities and accommodations, so it’s easy to find one that is just right for you and your family.
