As the temperatures start to drop, we start to think about the warm days of summer and all of the fun we had and memories we made. Summers in the Minnesota Northwoods are made for fishing, swimming, biking, and anything and everything else outside.
There are many places for outdoor adventures in the region, including multiple state parks, the Chippewa National Forest, Star Island, and Lyle’s Logging Camp. Each place is unique and attracts a variety of people.
Even for the rainy days of summer, there was always something to do for the whole family. The Headwaters Science Center is located in downtown Bemidji and has something fun for everyone. The Paul Bunyan Playhouse has live performances June through mid-August.
Although we will miss being on the lake or at the beach enjoying the warm summer air, we can look forward to fall and all it has to offer. Check out our Recreation page to see all of the activities in the Minnesota Northwoods.
