Fall is here, the leaves are changing, and hunters are packing up and heading into the woods. When it comes to hunting, it doesn’t get much better than the Minnesota Northwoods. Whether you are after ducks, deer, or even a bear, this is the perfect place for your fall hunting trip.
The Minnesota Northwoods is a great place to hunters to find their next great hunting spot! The Chippewa National Forest, along with multiple state wildlife management areas (WMA) in both Beltrami and Cass counties, make great options and provide hunters the opportunity to find big and small game as well as waterfowl.
Our area is filled with hunting trails for game birds such as ruffed grouse, ducks, pheasants, and turkeys. The open season for game birds mostly begin in mid-September and continues through the end of the year. Whitetail deer open season starts in mid-September for archery and early-November for firearms.
Load up the dogs, your blaze orange, and shotgun, and head out for a walk (or ATV ride) through the Minnesota Northwoods. You never know what you’ll come upon in the fall. The trails surrounding our resorts are a hunter’s paradise, thick with wildlife.
Plan your next hunting getaway to the Minnesota Northwoods today!
