When you choose to vacation at Cass Lake, you’ll soon learn that it’s actually two different lakes and part of the eight-lake system of Mississippi navigable lakes. The main lake is 15,996 acres with a maximum depth of 120 feet, making it perfect for watercraft and watersports. The shores of Pike Bay, the second more shallow lake, are home to more than 150 bald eagles. One of the most unique and interesting features of Cass Lake is Star Island, which has its own lake, Lake Windigo situated within the confines of the island featuring more than six miles of hiking trails.
The Cass Lake area is an angler’s paradise. With its weed-beds, steep drop offs and inlets, Cass Lake makes the perfect place to fish for the big one. The waters are home to musky, walleye, northern pike, bass, perch, crappie, blue gill and many more.
