Big Rice Lake covers 618 acres and has a maximum depth of 13 feet. It is a calm lake that supports a wide variety of fish, including:
- Sunfish
- Crappie
- Bluegill
- Yellow Perch
- Walleye
- Northern Pike
- Largemouth Bass
- Rock Bass
In 2011, Big Rice Lake was stocked with 675,000 walleye. It is part of the Turtle River chain of lakes and is surrounded with lush wild rice vegetation. There are two state water access sites with trailer launches, one on either side of the lake. This makes it easy for day trips to the lake from your resort, no matter what direction you’re coming from.
